Sierra Computer Engineering was the name of my electronics engineering company while living in Sonora up in the California Sierras. Unfortunately I would get phone calls from kids looking for Sierra the gaming company. The following is a list of some of the projects that I have worked on and am allowed to mention!

Some projects that I have worked on involved reverse engineering and so am under a Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA) so as to not mention the name of the company!

·        GIS (Computerized Cartography) Graphics programs using digitized and vector based Mercator projections used with GPS and Loran vehicle tracking systems.  This was used in determining Loran coverage areas as well as zones of intersections.

·        NOAA Digital Coastline Cartographic Compression.

·        The tracking of vehicles using mobile GPS receivers in conjunction with cellular phones and modems for position monitoring at base stations.

·        The reverse engineering and creation of various airport-runway database storage systems for use with GPS equipment.
