Cheat Hint: After game starts up move text index to the Rafiki’s
selection. Then in a rapid sequence press L1, L2, R2, R1, (repeat), then press the
triangle button. If done properly you should hear a “WAY” sound. Then move text
index over to Options where a Cheats menu item will now be
available.
Wrote
3D Studio Max export utility as well as other Win32 based tools in Java and
C/C++ necessary for converting data generated by 3rd party tools
into usable data models. Built several
of the engines including the scripting and sound engines and interface drivers
for the PCM, XA, and Midi sound. Also did about 99% of the Choreographed Event
Triggering for the PlayStation version of the game as well as handled all the
music and sound effects. Wrote the mini
games. Did the localization interfaces and released in Dutch, English, French,
German, Italian, and Spanish.
Wrote original PC version of game, engines, and co-wrote technical manual. The product was developed for the PlayStation, and Nintendo 64 using the GNU compiler, and for the PC using Direct3D and Visual C. Built a software render from scratch to replace the DirectX Software Render to be used by older PC computers that don’t have 3D hardware render capability for the Lion King Action Game. Six months into the schedule the Nintendo and PC platforms were cancelled.
